From a very early age I fell in love with sport. I was only four years old when I started with gymnastics. At 16, I had my first experience in teaching as a gymnastics coach in my hometown of Hamelin (the legend Pied Piper of Hamelin). I have always enjoyed teaching sport skills to my students and celebrate its many successes. I continued expanding my experience in other sports such as basketball, handball, cross (cross country), skateboarding, windsurfing, skiing, snowboarding and skydiving.

In the summer 1982 I travelled by bike along the beaches of the Cantabrian Sea where I discovered my passion for surfing. Since then I’m still in love with this sport. I made my first surfboard myself, I bought an old van and took advantage of every opportunity I could to surf with some friends. On weekends we travelled to the North Sea and on holidays to the coasts of Spain, France, Portugal and England. We always found our perfect wave!

During my university degree of Science in Physical Activity and Sport Science, I specialized in The Learning and Teaching of Movements – predominantly concentrating on The Teaching of Surf. In 1989 I started working as a surf instructor at a surf school in France. 1993 I concluded my career with a Bachelors degree in PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AND SPORT SCIENCE and in the same year I was federated as a SURF MONITOR by the German Surf Federation.

Since 1995 I have had my own surf school. Since then I have impassioned over two thousand students with the love for surf. Many of them return each year and are amazed at what still can be learned.

Since 1992 I have also participated in German Surf Championships. In 2000 I was the first in the ranking of the categories both Senior (over 28 years) and Master (over 35 years). And in 2002 I got the fourth place in the Senior category.

Since 2001 I have been living in the village of Gerra in front of two of my most favourite beaches, situated in the Natural Park of Oyambre, between Comillas and San Vicente de la Barquera in Cantabria, Spain.

At my surfing school , I offer surf lessons for beginners, basic, advanced and cracks, throughout the year.

I guarantee my personal and individual attention to each student.
