Superior excellence since 1995

After finishing his Bachelor degree in Science of Physical Activity and Sport, as one of the best in his class, and successfully obtaining the title of Surf Instructor Level II from the German Surf Federation in 1993, Martin Zawilla turned down a proposal nominated by his professors to write a doctoral thesis, and in March of 1995 started his lifelong dream of opening a surf school , in Cap Ferret (France).

In 2001 he moved to San Vicente de la Barquera (Spain) enchanted by the beautiful landscapes of the Natural Park of Oyambre, the National Reserve Park of Picos de Europa National Reserve Park of Picos de Europa and of course by the incredible waves. Since then Martin offers, always in person, surf lessons in small groups and private lessons at Gerra Beach in the heart of the Natural Park of Oyambre.

In his courses there are never more than 6 students together in the water which ensures intensive and individual tuition, following the philosophy of "quality rather than quantity".

Over the years Martin has developed a teaching methodology for beginners, basic, advanced and cracks, based on the science of sport and his training and experience with over 3000 surf students.

Combining his training, his experience over many years, his philosophy of quality and a perfect optimal surf beach, the surf school differs from the rest as a SURF SCHOOL OF SUPERIOR EXCELLENCE.
