Holidays on the coast, between forest and green meadow or in the mountains? Are you in two minds, where do you prefer to go this year? You don't have to decide: Cantabria is all at once! Here, there are a national reserve park, four nature parks and a nature reserve!

Due to the varying shape of the coastline you can enjoy wide sandy beaches, rocky cliff lines and small hidden bays. All these suspended by fjord-like river mouthes, the so-called rías, which are typical of Northern Spain.

The green lush meadows above the cliff lines remind you of Cornwall, Ireland or Scotland, but if you see the countryside, you feel like you're in the Bavarian Allgäu.

One of the highlights of the region is the National Reserve Park Picos de Europa at proximity of 30 km. Some of the last remaining European wolves and bears live in these wild romantic mountains elevated up to 2650 m. There are prepared snow pistes with ski-lifts in the surrounding mountains from November through to March. Through the rest of the year you can enjoy walking, climbing, mountain biking, riding, archery, rafting, hydro-speed and kayaking.
