Selecting a surfboard depends on: >>> your level >>> your weight >>> your height >>> the type of wave For beginners the best surfboard is a Minimalibu. So you catch waves more easily. You will use this board until your stance is stable and it is not so hard to handle as a longboard. For beginners starting from scratch it is important to know that after a few weeks, one usually requires a somewhat shorter minimalibu. Remember, that a good surf school always provides the correct and complete set of equipment available to its students, and it should be included in the class price. When you know how to surf the wall of the wave with you Minimalibu you can change to an Evolution. Before buying a CHS-Board or a Shortboard you need to know and safely manage your Evolution-Board in different waves. One advantage when surfing with a Longboard is that you can catch the waves very early and stay in them when they have almost no wall. However, it is not a surfboard suitable for beginners because it is more difficult to duck-dive or pass the waves, control the vertical balance and to do curves. Semi Guns are special surfboards for waves bigger than 2 meters. However, the appropriate surfboard for the real Big Waves is the Full Gun. On the website of Full & Cas you will find further information on the different surfboard shapes. And here you can order your new surfboard ...
